It's Friday...and sometimes...even when things at home are hectic...I enjoy taking a few minutes away from other responsibilities and working on someone else's shot. It is a tiny little recharge for me. So here's what we've got. An SOOC image that does absolutely nothing for me. I did my best with it and came up with a couple different plays. I'd love to hear from you! Which is your favorite? Constructive criticism?

I felt the lollipop in the original image was stealing show show, so in this b/w edit, I cropped it in tight so the focus would fall on her pretty eyes.

Another b/w edit. Full sized this time.

I started off with a b/w conversion and a color....I actually liked the prelim b/w better initially. Then by the time I finished, I preferred the color. So much so that I gave up on the b/w. So I only have one to share this week....but I really like it, so I ma ok with that :)

I'm happy it's Friday for a couple reasons...One, the weekend is upon us. And two, we get a Fix-It Friday challenge over at I Heart Faces. I ran several edits, making several different versions of this photo (which is not mine and belongs to the person who provided it for the challenge). I settled on these 3. I prefer the B/W conversion to the other two, mostly because of the lipstick on the little girl. I'm just not a fan. I used the sponge tool to absorb some of the color, but it's still more lip color on a kiddo than I personally care for. Plus, this girlie's eyes are pretty intense in B/W.

It was so nice to get to work on someone else's image today. Sometimes I get tired of looking at my own shots. This felt good!

Looking at this now that I have posted it, I probably should have tiled it slightly to the left to straighten out the horizon a bit. Oh well....pretend it's straight :)
